Let me introduce a Local Mama & her Amazing Memories Photography

This post is for our local area mama friends. I want to tell you about an amazing Mama in our community that I recently had the pleasure of meeting. Her name is Melisa. She is the mother of 3 kids ages 7, 9, and 10. She is also the owner of Amazing Memories Photography here in Cortez.

Even though Melisa and her business are right here in Cortez, I discovered her on BuzzTown.com, an internet community website which I belong to. By accident one day I noticed that one of my BuzzTown friends had become a fan of her business. So I clicked on her link and saw the most Amazing Baby Pictures. They were not your typical poses and backgrounds. One of the pictures that really caught my attention was of a baby sleeping peacefully on the petal of a beautiful, vividly colored flower.

I continued to browse her portfolio and decided that I just had to get her to take my grandkids pictures. I figured the pictures would probably be expensive because they obviously took more time and attention in designing each picture. I went to her website to see what her prices were like. To my amazement they were totally reasonable! Now I was hooked. I sent an email to her through the BuzzTown system and we arranged a time for me to stop by her studio to talk to her a bit more about her photography business.

The next morning I stopped at her studio, which is at 317 East Main Street, Suite B, right across from the Mr Happy Bakery. I found Melisa to be a very genuine person who seemed to be comfortable in her own skin. The type of person who you just feel at ease with when you are in her company. She showed me how she creates these amazing photographs with the use of what is called Chromakey (green screen) photography, which is exactly that, a green colored background screen. The subject sits, stands, or lays in front of the 'green screen' and she takes their picture. Then later in her at her computer she puts different backgrounds in where the green color was. With this technology she can put any scene she wants in the background, and even make it look like you are part of the background. Besides the fact that this type of photography allows her to be more creative, it also means that she doesn't have to have a bunch of expensive props in her studio. That means that she saves money on props and studio space. Melisa passes these savings on to her customers by offering affordable package pricing. Okay, enough technical talk...take a look at these Amazing Photographs she created of my grandchildren.

In this photo the kids were looking into a fish bowl. Melisa told them there was a tiny goldfish in the bowl so they were both looking for it. Russell of course went fishing for it. Later, at her computer, Melisa added the orange goldfish. When we showed this photo to Sydney, she couldn't believe that now she could see the goldfish that she doubted existed a few days earlier when she was getting her picture taken.

This is one of my favorite photos with Sydney looking like she is inside the glass globe. I will cherish this picture forever.

Here is a sweet picture of Russell sitting in an old wash tub. As you can tell by looking at these photos, you don't have to worry about getting just the right shot of your child, in just the perfect pose. You capture your child just having fun getting his picture taken, then Melisa adds the extras that make the photo so special and unique.

The kids didn't even get cranky like they usually do when told to put their hand here and their foot there, and hold still while the photographer snaps a shot. As a matter of fact, Russell had so much fun that he developed quite a crush on Melisa. Two days later when she brought the images to the store for me to pick the ones I wanted, Russell immediately recognized her and ran up and hugged her legs then started saying "up, up" indicating that he wanted her to pick him up. She obliged him and received a really big hug in return.

I was so impressed with Melisa, her work, the fantastic prices, and the truly Amazing Photographs that we now proudly display in our store. I love them so much that I wanted to tell all of my mama friends in the local area about her. I asked Melisa if she would mind if I did a feature on her in our Weekly Highlights email and she was so delighted that she offered to give my readers a Special Gift. She will give anyone who purchases ANY size photo package, a FREE 8 x 10 standard photo, just tell her that Anna from The Baby Store Plus recommended her.

If you are wondering what a 'standard' photo is, the picture below is an example of her standard photo, although standard is not the word I would use to describe this picture...it is actually Sydney's favorite of all of the pictures. Basically, it is any photo with a standard background, not the photos above where she has digitally inserted additional images -those take a lot more time to create. We can't expect Melisa to make this great of an offer indefinitely, so this offer will only be good through September. I suggest that you give Melisa a call (970-565-8636 or 970-739-9455) right away, to schedule an appoint to make some Amazing Memories with your children.

Here are a few more photos...

These are definitely not pictures that will end behind next years photos. I think Melisa named her business accurately...Amazing Memories Photography is exactly what she does.

I Want YOUR Product Reviews!

How important are product reviews to you when making your buying decisions? They are very important to me. Sometimes I am just not sure about a product that I am unfamiliar with, but after reading a few customer reviews I feel like I can better make the decision whether or not a product is right for me. Not that the customer reviews are 100% of my decision, but it is a valuable tool to help me know what others think about a particular product. Sometimes I can read even a negative review and decide that although this product wasn't right for that person, their information helped me decide that perhaps it is still right for me.
For this reason I have decided to add product ratings & reviews to all of the products listed in our store and I want YOU to help me rate & review the products. I want to hear what your personal experience's have been with any of the products currently listed in my store. I have created a Product Rating & Review Submission Form that you can use to submit your thoughts & opinions for any product listed in my store. I will ask for you to rate the product on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being 'Hated it' and 5 being 'Loved It!' This is your chance to help fellow shoppers by sharing your experiences.

Because I love Blogging Mama's, I have a special plan just for you. If you have previously posted a blog review for any product that you find in our store, then you can include the URL of your blog post in the Product Rating & Review Submission Form, and I will include a mention of your blog post and a link back to your blog right in the review! It's a Great 'no cost' way to bring extra exposure to your blog!

So please feel free to browse our online store. If you find a product that you have personal experience with, just click the "Rate & Review This Item" Icon to be taken to our Product Rating & Review submission form. This is a Win-Win situation because You get to help other shoppers with their purchasing decisions, and we get to provide our shoppers with the most valuable information about the products -right there with the product listing. Plus, if you have previously posted a blog review of this product, we will give your blog a little extra attention!

To get things started, and to thank you for taking the time to share this valuable information with our customers, from now until September 30, 2010, I will send anyone who's Product Rating & Review is accepted (regardless of the rating), a special discount code for 10% Off their next purchase. Each code can only be used once, so with each accepted submission you get another discount code for a future purchase. If you are wondering why I said "accepted submission" see the submission guidelines below, and on the submission form itself.

Browse our online store to see what products you would like to submit a rating & review on, and/or see what products you have done a blog review on in the past. To get to our Product Rating & Review Submission form just click on this Icon:
If you don't see it there yet, see our home page.

Submission Guidelines: I will accept all submissions regardless of the rating, however there are some submissions that will not be accepted. We will reject a submission for any of the following reasons: 1) Use of vulgar language in your review; 2) spelling and/or grammatical errors to the degree that we cannot understand what you are saying; 3) It appears that you have not actually used the product yourself, such as you mention features that are not related to this product; 4) SPAM in your submission, such as trying to promote yourself, a website, or another business in the review (no urls permitted other than one from your own blog review); 5) Submissions with an invalid email address (we verify the authenticity of your email address before posting your review).

Get in touch with Your Inner Child by Playing With a Child!

Remember Paper Dolls? I sure do. I probably had at least 50 different paper dolls throughout my childhood. I remember spending long hours on weekends, off in 'pretend-land', playing with my paper dolls. I couldn't wait to share that experience with my granddaughter. Since she is over 3 years old now I knew she would love the make-believe part of paper dolls but I worried how the clothing tabs would hold up under her not-so-gentle little fingers.

Children have to learn what is an appropriate amount of pressure to apply to different activities so this will develop with time. But for now, there is a wonderful set of toys from Melissa & Doug that allows a little one to play like paper dolls, but with sturdy thick wooden dolls that are magnetic. The Magnetic Dress-Up Dolls are fabulous for little fingers. We now have 3 sets of magnetic dress-up dolls at The Baby Store Plus and I gave one of them to Sydney to play with. She absolutely loved it! She played with her Maggie Leigh Wooden Dress-up Doll all day the first day and continued to play with it every day after.
There are three styles that we have, the Maggie Leigh that I gave Sydney, the Joey, so boys can play too, and the Abby & Emma double set. Each set comes in a pretty designed wooden divider tray to keep all the little parts & pieces organized. Each piece is magnetized so it easily attaches to the magnetic doll. The doll can be held in the little ones hands, laid out on a flat surface, or stood upright in the wooden stand that comes with each doll. Your little one can mix n match shirts, skirts, pants, dress, shoes and accessories for the girl dolls. The Joey doll comes with several career outfits so he can be a Super Hero, Firefighter, Policeman, a Knight, Construction Worker, and even a Pirate.
These Magnetic Dress-Up Dolls are recommended for children ages 3 and up. They do come with small pieces so if you have younger children you should supervise the parts when little ones are near.

The single dress-up dolls, Joey or Maggie Leigh are just $12.99 and the double set with Abby & Emma is just $19.99, and all are now available in our Online Store, as well as in our physical store in Cortez, Colorado.

Two Exciting New Products from Melissa & Doug Now Available at The Baby Store Plus

We just received a large shipment from Melissa & Doug. Have you heard of this toy company before? They are known for their quality products at affordable prices and so much more. I will have all of the new products added to our website (and store shelves) very soon, but I really wanted to make a special post to highlight a few of my personal favorites today. They are the Metal Shopping Cart and the Magnetic Responsibility Chart. The Metal Shopping Cart is so neat. I bought one for my granddaughter to play with in my store. She loves shopping and I thought it would be fun for her to have a real-looking shopping cart in the store to play with. As it turned out, the Shopping Cart has become both of my grandkids favorite toy that gets played with every single day! I can't say that about any other toy that they have...and they have way too many! I guess that is what happens when your grandmother owns a baby store huh?

We were so impressed with the quality of the shopping cart that I knew it was definitely a product I wanted to offer my customers. It is made of real metal, just like the real carts. It also has the fold down plastic seat for a 'baby doll', just like the real carts. The wheels are beefy rubber and swivel in the front, just like the real carts! The only real difference between this cart and a real-thing is that this one is just the right size for little ones.

It is super easy to assemble with just a hex key, that is also included. And best of all, it is totally affordable at just $49.95! This toy is so sturdy, I think I could probably sit in the basket and be pushed around without hurting it one bit...although I am not admitting to doing that, nor am I recommending that you do it.

The Metal Shopping Cart is Now Available in our Online Store as well as our physical store in Cortez, Colorado.

The other featured Melissa & Doug product is the Magnetic Responsibility Chart. It is really more than a chart of chores...it is an aide to teach your children about personal responsibility too. The wood framed chart boards (there are two boards) are each approximately 16" wide by 12" tall. They are hinged together with 2 sturdy straps, with the dry-erase board in the lower position.
The upper board has an area to place the 'Responsibility or Goal' magnets along the left side. The magnets say things like: Load Dishwasher, Set Table, Help with Indoor Chores, as well as Apologize to Someone, Say Please and Thank You, Take Care of Pet, Don't Use Bad Language and many more. Under each day of the week there are places to put the 'Reward Magnet Dots' that say encouraging things like, Awesome, Great Job, Well Done, Way to Go, and many more.

The lower board is a dry-erase board and is also magnetic so it makes for a great place to keep your yet-unused magnets. As your child accomplishes each Responsibility or Goal, you take a magnet dot from the lower section that best fits the praise you wish to give, and place it on that day. Then your child can easily see how well they have been doing all week long. I love how the chart uses positive reinforcement rather than 'a list of chores'.

This is also great for children that are not even reading yet because each magnet has images that depict the task or activity and the reward dots have different happy faces with each written compliment for their behavior. If I were going to take one of the Reward Dots and use it to rate this product, I think I would choose 'AWESOME!"

The Magnetic Responsibility Chart is now available in our Online Store for $19.95 each. It is recommended for kids ages 3 years and up.

Look for more Featured Newest Arrivals to be posted all this week (and probably even next week too)...as I am working as fast as I can get them added to our website.

HOT New Coobie Bra Colors

"HOT" New Coobie Bra Colors!

I present to you what I think is, the 'Perfect Bra'. Nothing makes a girl feel sexier than a really pretty bra. Add in the bonus that this is THE Most comfortable bra that you will probably ever wear, and that the size is called FREE because it fits any woman from a size 32A to a 36D! Now top all of that off with a price so low that you can afford to buy 2 or 3 of them for the same price that you have probably paid for a single bra in the past. What do you get? You get the Perfect Bra...the Coobie Bra!

If you have known me for any length of time then you have probably heard me talk about the Coobie Bra before. I totally Love this bra for all of the above reasons. And now there are 6 more reasons to love it...Check out these Hot New Coobie Bra Colors!

If you have not tried the Coobie yet...what are you waiting for? With a price of just $16 - $20 who could afford to Not try one? If you are like most of my customers who have bought one...you will be back for more very soon. I personally own 4 of them, and I will be adding to that collection now that Coobie has introduced some really pretty new colors. I am all over the new Mocha. It makes me think of Iced Coffee -my new favorite summer drink.

The Coobie bra comes in a Bandeau (strapless) for those strapless summer dresses, a Scoopneck for the simple yet sexy look, with a bit or decorative gathering in the front to keep the girls from becoming a uni-boob, and there is also the really sexy V-Neck Lace so you can let the lace peek through your shirt for the layered look without the layers. The wide band in the back also smooths out the look of your back so no unsightly rolls created by your bra. They each come with smooth line pads that can be removed if you don't want them. The strapped bras also come with a second set of clear straps so you can change out the straps when you need a strapless look. They are all Super Comfortable and so easy to care for. Just remove the pads before hand-washing, and lay out on a towel to dry. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Oh how I wish I had a nice flat tummy like that to go with my pretty Coobie Bra! Oh, by the way, you don't have to be that skinny to wear a Coobie. I personally wear a size 40B and the Coobie fits me just fine.

See a recent blog review by Amanda at My Life with Rats & More. Look for more reviews coming very soon!

Get your own Coobie Bra, or add some of these New Colors to your collection by stopping by our store in Cortez, Colorado or shop in our Online Store. We ship within 1 business day, (usually the same day) so you will have your New Coobie Bras right away!

RECALL ALERT: Nap Nanny Portable Baby Recliners

How very sad to receive news this morning that a 4 month old baby girl has died, which prompted the voluntary recall of 30,000 Nap Nanny Portable Baby Recliners. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in cooperation with Baby Matters LLC of Berwyn, PA, announced the voluntary recall today. According to the CPSC report, the 4 month old girl from Royal Oak, Michigan died in a Nap Nanny that was being used in a crib. According to the preliminary reports, the infant was in her harness and found hanging over the side of the Nap Nanny, caught between the Nap Nanny and the bumper pad of the crib.

According to the recall report issued by the CPSC, they and Baby Matters are aware of one other incident in which an infant became entrapped when the Nap Nanny was used in a crib, which is contrary to the instructions, that state you should not use the Nap Nanny in a crib or on any elevated surface. The CPSC reported that they and Baby Matters have also received 22 other reports of infants, primarily younger than 5 months old, hanging or falling our over the side of the Nap Nanny despite most of the infants being placed in the harness.

I have heard many wonderful testimonials from moms about how the Nap Nanny has helped them finally get some rest because their colicky baby or baby with acid reflux could finally sleep without pain or spitting up all night. However, when I personally saw the Nap Nanny at a trade show last summer I was actually concerned about the baby sitting up and rolling out...just as these babies have done. To me it appeared that the 3-point harness, which sits so low on the babies body, similar to that of a baby swing, would not securely hold a squirmy baby in the seat. Personally I thought I would find it difficult for me to rest, for fear the baby might wiggle out.

The CPSC states that an infant can partially fall or hang over the side of the Nap Nanny even while using the harness. They say the situation can be worse if the Velcro straps, located inside the Nap Nanny cover are not properly attached to the 'D'-rings located on the foam or if consumers are using the first generation model that was sold without the 'D'-rings. Additionally, if the Nap Nanny is placed inside of a crib or play yard the infant can fall or hang over the side and become entrapped between the crib side and the Nap Nanny and suffocate. See the extremely disturbing photo re-enactment below.

The Nap Nanny was designed to be a portable recliner that is ONLY used on the floor, away from any other products, to allow an infant to sleep, rest, or play while sitting in a semi-reclined position. They were sold at toy and children's retail stores nationwide and online, including at www.napnanny.com, from January 2009 through July 2010 for about $130. The Recalled product was manufactured in both the US and in China.

RECALL INSTRUCTIONS:

If you have a First Generation Nap Nanny model (without the 'D'-rings) Stop using it immediately and contact the firm to receive an $80 coupon towards the purchase of a new Nap Nanny with free Shipping.

If you have the Second Generation Nap Nanny model (with the 'D'-rings) Stop using it immediately until you are able to visit the firm's website to obtain new product instructions and warnings.

Consumers also need to view an important instructional video to help ensure the harness is properly fastened. Consumers who are unable to view the video or read the new instructions online, should contact the firm to receive free copies by mail.

For more information, contact Baby Matters, toll-free at (888) 240-4282 between 9am and 5pm ET, Monday through Friday or visit the firm's website at www.napnanny.com/recall.

See the full CPSC report by clicking here.

I ask that everyone please take a few moments to reflect on the tragic death of the Michigan baby girl and keep her poor parents and family in your thoughts today as you give your baby an extra special hug on their behalf.

Rockin Green Cloth Diaper Detergent IS Rockin!

Rockin Green Soap IS Rockin!!

I recently received a sample of Rockin Green Soap (RnG) with an order of Cloth Mama Pads from Talulah Bean. I didn't try it right away because I have an HE (High Efficiency) washing machine and thought that powdered soap would not work well in it. I was wrong, but I will get to that in a minute.

I had heard a lot about how great Rockin Green is for Cloth Diapers for really deep cleaning the soakers to remove smells and stains. So when my Boston Terrier, Max, cut his paw open and ran all over my sheets leaving blood paw prints all over it before we could catch him and tend to his wound, I thought perhaps I would try the sample pack of Rockin Green to wash them. It couldn't hurt, I thought, and I knew that my detergent would not wash the blood out without leaving brown stains.

So I read the washing instructions on the packet and discovered that I could in fact use RnG in a HE machine. Because the HE machines uses so little water, a prewash wash necessary to pre-wet the clothes first. A bonus is that you use half as much RnG when you use a HE machine. I learned that I could have liquefied the powder and poured it in my machine like a liquid, but I decided to just pour the powder where the liquid goes. I tossed in the bloody sheets and my mama pads as well as a few towels too just so the load would be big enough. While running through a full wash cycle and a 2nd rinse I noticed how nice my laundry room smelled. Then when the spin cycle was complete it was time to see how well the RnG had done. I did not have high hopes because the blood was all over the sheet. But when I pulled the sheet out and examined it before tossing it in the dryer, I could not find a single blood stain...Not One! The sheet looked just like new!

A few days later I put a fresh towel on my hook before my shower, which was one that came out of that load. I stepped out of the shower and put the towel to my face to dry off and OMG, I could not believe how fresh it smelled. I just kept smelling it. I even made my husband smell it too. I am sure he thought I was nuts, but it smelled so good. By this point I was totally Sold on Rockin Green Soap. I wanted to wash all of my clothes, sheets, towels, bedding, everything in it.

That very day I got an email announcing that I had won a bag of RnG in a giveaway that I entered at Our Life Blog. I could not wait to get it. I loved Rockin Green Soap so much that not only did I want to use it exclusively, I also wanted to bring it into my store for my customers too. So I contacted Kim at Rockin Green and placed a nice big order. I also ordered a bunch of Sample packs so I can share them with you too.

So now, not only can you buy Rockin Green Soap directly from us at The Baby Store Plus Online and in-store, but everyone who places an order for Cloth Diapers will receive a FREE 2/4 Load Sample Pack!

Receive a FREE 2/4 Load Sample of Rockin Green Soap with any Cloth Diaper Order!

Rockin Green is one of the Top Recommended Laundry Soaps

for use with Cloth Diapers.

I Love Entering and Especially Winning Giveaways!

I love Giveaways, both hosting them and entering them. But especially Winning Them! Sometimes the host thinks its a little strange that The Baby Store Plus is entering their giveaways (I have actually had a few say that to me), but I am a real person too. I have grandchildren that I like to win things for and I also like to read reviews about new products that I might consider putting in my store. So if I win, I get to test the product out myself before ordering 12 cases of them to discover that the product quality is only so-so...or on the flip side, if I Love, Love, Love a product that I win, then I feel confident in buy 12 cases to put in my store and share with other mama's & grandmama's.

Here are a few that I have won recently and a little follow up to each prize:

I won a Bum Essentials Bumbino All In 2 Cloth Diaper from Dirty Diaper Laundry blog. I have been on a cloth diaper mission recently. Trying to figure our what cloth diaper brands I want to carry in my store. To qualify as a product that I will carry, first it has to be a quality product, and second, the company has to have people running it that I enjoy working with. So the best way for me to determine what cloth diaper brands I will stock in my store is to actually use the product myself. I had not tied the Bum Essentials diapers yet, although I was hearing a lot about them in blogs and on twitter so I really wanted to try one. I entered Kims giveaway and Won! The diaper arrived so fast, I wasn't even expecting it for a few more days at least. I took it home and went through the pre-washing process and eagerly used it on my grandson the next day at work...and I Loved It! So much so that I am now going to carry them in my store! Look for them to arrive Very Soon! Thank you Dirty Diaper Laundry and Bum Essentials!

I entered a Review/Giveaway for Rockin Green Soap hosted by Our Life blog. I had already tried a sample size packet of Rockin Green Soap that I received with a purchase of Cloth Mama pads from Talulah Bean, and I really loved the smell of my laundry after. I used it on some sheets that my dog bleed ALL over when he cut is paw. Rockin Green removed every last drop of blood! I knew that I wanted more of this product, so for fun I entered the giveaway and won. Before the bag even arrived, (which is did right away) I decided that I wanted this product for my store. So you can look for it to arrive this week at The Baby Store Plus. Also expect to receive a Free Sample with all future purchases of cloth diapers from us! Thank you Rockin Green Soap and Our Life blog!

I entered a review/giveaway for a Loop-2-Loop buckle-less belt for toddlers made by an Etsy mom, hosted by Toddler Mama's blog. I thought these were a very neat idea for toddlers who are tall and slim like my granddaughter Sydney. If she finds pants that fit in the waist they are so short they look like capri pants, so we have to get them long enough and use something to gather up the waist so they are not saggin and baggin all day. We love the Dapper Snappers that we currently use (and carry in our store), but we thought we'd try the Loop-2-Loop too. I chose the pink with white snaps since Sydney loves anything pink. They arrived pretty fast and we tried them out the very day they arrived. I loved them. I really wanted to carry them in my store along with the Dapper Snappers, however there are so many crazy federal requirements for lead and other toxins that I cannot carry anything that doesn't have certificates of testing compliance. Since she is small business she doesn't have any testing done on her products yet....but she should contact me once she does...I love them!

I won a Freckles Galore Crayon Roll-up (another great Etsy mom) hosted in a review/giveaway by Twee Poppets blog. My granddaughter chose the Ladybug Garden print...once again because it is really 'pink' and has ladybugs. As soon as it arrived Sydney opened it up and we happily discovered that she had included brand new crayons too! I did not expect that. Sydney was just oohing and awwing at it for quite a while. We were going on a long drive the next day so we took the Crayon Roll up with us and Sydney had a ball using the crayons and putting them back in the little pockets then rolling it up for me to tie it for her. I think this is such a nice simple product for little ones. You should check out Freckles Galore on Etsy because she makes lots of other sweetly simple products too.

There are more prizes, but these are the ones that really stand out in my mind right now. I hope you enjoyed reading about them and will visit the blogs that hosted such great giveaways, as well as the companies that were generous enough to offer their products as giveaways.

I do have one other prize that I won that I will actually be giving away in turn. It was a Gift Certificate for Ecomom that I won in a review/giveaway hosted by Children Teaching Mama blog. I used the gift certificate to purchase a bunch of Plum Organics Baby Food Pouches that use the new Boon Dispensing Spoons. I will be giving away 1 free pouch with each order of 2 or more dispensing spoons from our website. Cool way of giving back...which is especially fun because I LOVE Plum Organics Baby Food so much! Look for a post all about that later this week!

Thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to read all the way down to this point :) I would love it if you shared your thoughts, as well as your personal entering and winning experiences. If you are a blogger hosting a giveaway, feel free to add a link in your comment too!

UPDATE (July 13, 2010): Just today I Won something else! I won the Little Looster Booster! This will be perfect to use in my baby store since we have lots of little people that need to use the potty, and since it doesn't have to be moved for adults to use the potty, it can just stay there. What a Very Cool device. I won it from Los Angeles Mama Blog.

It's Friday! Bloghop Day!

It's Friday! Bloghop Day!

I look forward to Fridays, not just because it's the end of the week but because I get to enter all of the Friday Bloghops. I have been participating in them for several weeks now and I have met so many wonderful women (and a daddy blogger too).

This week I am highlighting my newest bloghop find that fits me like a comfy slipper...the Over 40 Bloggers group. I love chatting with the young mama's but sometimes its nice to chat with a woman who understand being a grandma, having hot flashes, and the feelings associated with growing older...gracefully I might add.

I have fun in these other blog hops & follow Friday's too:

Potette Plus 2-n-1 Portable Potty Makes Potty Training On-the-Go much Easier

Potty Training On-the-Go Just Got Easier! Introducing the Potette Plus 2-n-1 Portable Potty & Trainer Seat.

There is nothing worse then being out shopping when your toddler says, "I Gotta Pee!" and the store refuses to let you use their bathroom (this really erks me!). Or the bathroom is totally 'Icky'. You don't want to tell your toddler to hold it and chance spoiling all of their wonderful potty training progress, so you have to figure out where you can find a potty, and Fast! Another bad potty training scenario, that I was recently discussing with some young mamas, is when Daddy is out with his daughter and she needs to use the potty. It is not always a good idea for daddy to take her in to a public men's room, especially a busy one, where her chances of get exposed to something she shouldn't see, are pretty high.

Well, I have the answer to both problems...the Potette Plus Portable Potty. It is a full-sized potty seat that folds up flat so you can carry it in your diaper bag, purse, or in your vehicle. It folds out quickly to become a short little potty seat when no potty is available, or it opens up to be a trainer seat/hygenic toilet seat for older toddlers or when the toilet is not as clean as you like. With the Potette Plus Potty you just open it up, place the absorbent liner inside and you have a potty seat, no matter where you are! Once your little one has finished, you just tie the tabs of the liner bag and toss it in the trash.

The Potette Plus is non-slip, durable, and comfortable. It is suitable for children from 15 months to 50lbs! Even though this is a 'portable' potty, you can use it at home too. At a price of just $14.99 each you can afford to have one at home and one for on the go. We now carry the Potette Plus 2-n-1 Portable Potty & Trainer Seat in Blue, Pink, and Bright Green colors. We also carry the disposable potty liner refills in 10 packs for just $4.99.
